2016 is going to be a great year! I can feel it already. However you choose to spend this first day of a new year, may you find it full of blessings and peace.
I am spending today in reflection. Most of that reflection will occur while folding laundry, but that's beside the point, lol. . . Reflection is a truly helpful tool for me. I did a lot of it when I was teaching full time. It helped me sort the useful things: misconceptions or difficulties my students had that I might not have thought of before, as well as the areas I needed to offer more challenge in or had experienced wild levels of success. I might not be teaching, but the tool is still effective. Instead of resolutions, I'll be making action plans with benchmarks. It's not as complicated as it sounds, and my plans always remain fairly fluid.
I'm really looking forward to a year of growth and creativity. How about you?
See you in about a week.
